When is the expiration date of motorcycle registration and when to renew motorcycle registration in LTO? These are common question mostly asked by new motorists in the Philippines. Well, the answer is found on your motorcycle plate number. The numbers serve as codes to know the motorcycle registration renewal schedule.
To create an order and streamline the process in the renewal of registration, a proper scheduling is being implemented by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) of the Philippines. Base on your plate number, you can determine what month and days of the month you need to go to the LTO District Office to renew your motorcycle registration.
How to Know LTO Motorcycle Registration Renewal Schedule
The last digit of your plate number determines the month of the year that you need to renew your motorcycle registration. 1 for January, 2 for February, 3 for March and so on. The second to the last digit serves as the week of that month. This serves as a deadline of your renewal.
To explain this, let’s assume that your plate number is ABC 1234. The last digit is 4 which is April on the calendar month number. Then, the second to the last digit number is 3 which is 1st – 7th working day according to LTO Weekly Schedule (see tables below). So if your plate number is ABC 1234, your deadline of renewal is on April 1 to 7.
To better understand this, check out the tables below.
